FREE SKATE

My paintings depict an imaginary world populated by
characters inspired by cartoons and comic books, fantastical animals, dinosaurs, and—not to mention—the Krab brothers and Mr. Squid the octopus, who appear regularly and cross paths in my imagination.

The collection unfolds in an intensely colorful, joyful, and free world, where the sea is ever-present—a direct reference to Brittany, my adopted home, which deeply inspires my work and my imagination.

IMPRESSIONISTS

Based in Lézardrieux, near the island of Bréhat, I am developing—alongside my imaginary world—a series of paintings more directly inspired by my adopted home of Brittany.

Here, the sea takes center stage: its shifting reflections, its changing colors, its moments of stillness, and its bursts of light.

My approach is impressionistic, free, and intuitive. I do not seek to faithfully reproduce the landscape, but rather to capture the feeling, the light of the moment, the rippling of the water, and the vibrancy of the colors.

The rocks, islets, sailboats, and Breton shores appear as fragments of memory, bathed in turquoise, deep blues, greens, and purples, conveying emotion rather than reality.

This series is a tribute to the sea—which is ever-present in my daily life—and to this maritime landscape that profoundly inspires my vision and my artistic practice.

MY CATS

Cats hold a special place in my work. Figures that are both familiar and mysterious, they become, under my brush, characters in their own right, straddling the line between reality and imagination.

Painted with great freedom of form and color, my cats exude a calm, sometimes enigmatic, and often tender presence. They seem to observe the world from a distance, as if suspended in time.

Their deliberately naive, almost childlike treatment enhances their expressiveness and narrative power.

This series is perfectly in line with my artistic vision: a sensitive, colorful, poetic world where animals serve as a mirror for human emotions—ranging from tenderness to solitude to contemplation.
